I’m committed to legislating of Andrew Yang’s policy proposals, along with my #1 goal of putting power directly into the hands of the people by turning my district into a test for a Liquid democracy.
See where I stand →Liquid democracy is cool, liquid democracy is functional, liquid democracy is the future!
Have you ever felt that your voice isn’t being heard in this current system? Right now we have the right, the ability to make change but, it’s only during election years. That’s every two years for The House of Representatives, Six years for Senate and every Four years for President. With a liquid democracy all that changes.
To put it simply a liquid democracy is a hybrid between a direct democracy where everyone votes on every piece of legislation and a representative democracy where we elect representatives to vote in our place. With a liquid democracy at any point in time you can take back your legislative authority and vote on issues important to you directly.
No longer will you have to hope and pray that your elected representative has your best interest at heart, you can take back your right to control your own destiny.
Take a look at the video below for a more in-depth explanation for how we can upgrade our democracy for the 21st century.
“If elected, I pledge to introduce legislation that can be passed by the House, Senate and signed into law by the President in the first quarter of 2021 that transparently funds and guarantees a Universal Basic Income (UBI) for the citizens of the United States of America, at a rate which covers basic human needs in an effort to eliminate poverty, while building a robust national economy.”
This is the pledge I have made as a member of the UBI Caucus a collective of individuals that believe that Universal Basic Income is a necessity of the future. In the richest country in the world there is no reason that our capitalist system should start individuals out at $0. Heck even in Monopoly you get $200 for passing GO that’s more than you get in real life.
We all acknowledge that it takes money to make money and the most effective tool we have to combat poverty would be to put money directly in the hands of those who need it the most.
As someone inspired to run for Congress by Andrew Yang I 100% support his Policy proposal of a Freedom Dividend paid for by using a method of taxation called a VAT.
I don’t believe in reinventing the wheel. Take a look at his detailed proposal here.
I don’t believe money belongs in politics, the only reason money is a part of politics is to keep the poorest of us excluded from the conversation.
I have made the commitment to not take any money from ANYONE. As a representative of my congressional district all I need is to know what my people want me to fight for so that I can go and execute their will in Congress.
A representative only needs to listen and execute, it’s not about what plans I offer that can help you improve your lives, it’s about my constituents telling me what they need and me making it happen.
As far as I’m concerned it doesn’t take money to follow instructions.
